Kerala Sports Day Celebration @ G.C.T.E
Kerala Sports Day Celebration held on October 13, 2023, at the Government College of Teachers Education, Thycaud, was a vibrant and memorable event. This event featured a variety of activities, including poster making contest and Presentation on G.V. Raja History.
One of the highlights of the event was the Poster Making Contest. The participants showcased their artistic talents and creativity through their posters, focusing on themes related to sports and culture. The posters were not only visually stunning but also conveyed powerful messages about the importance of sports in Kerala.
We are pleased to announce that our team achieved remarkable success in the Poster Making Contest, winning the third prize. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and artistic skills of our participants.
Another significant aspect of the event was a presentation about the history of GV Raja, a prominent figure in the world of sports in Kerala. The presentation provided insights into GV Raja's contributions to the development of sports in the region and celebrated his legacy. Gandhi Jayanti Sevana Varam at G.C.T.E Thycaud on October 7, 2023, was a day of meaningful service, cleanliness, and delectable food. The event commenced with a cleaning program within the college premises, followed by a delightful feast featuring Kappa and Chammanthi.
The day began with a cleaning program, aligning with the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy of cleanliness and selfless service. Staff and students came together to ensure that the college campus was spotless. This initiative reflected the college's commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
After a productive cleaning session, everyone gathered for a scrumptious meal. Kappa, a popular Kerala dish made from tapioca, and Chammanthi, a traditional chutney, were served. These dishes are not only delicious but also hold cultural significance in Kerala's culinary tradition. It was a delightful experience for all the participants, combining the joy of good food with the principles of simplicity and sustainability that Mahatma Gandhi advocated.Gandhi Jayanti Sevana Varam served as a reminder of Mahatma Gandhi's principles of simplicity, cleanliness, and community service. The Multitalented show brought together a fusion of music and art, highlighting the diverse skills of our students. It was a mesmerizing display of artistic expression that left the audience spellbound.
One of the most impactful moments of the day was the skit about Suicide Prevention. It delivered a powerful message, raising awareness about this crucial issue and emphasizing the importance of supporting those in need.
The highlight of the event was the remarkable performance by Jinsiya, who wowed the audience with a mesmerizing display of Silambattam, a traditional Indian martial art. Her skill and agility left everyone amazed and applauding.
Abhirami's performance was equally exceptional, as she sang her own poem, adding a personal touch to her rendition that resonated with the audience.
The event was not just about performances but also about engaging the audience. Various games were organized, including "Passing Dance" that had everyone on their feet, and the "English translation of Malayalam movie songs" game, which tested the linguistic skills of the participants and entertained the crowd.
The entire program was a full-day affair, ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to enjoy and participate in the festivities. The dedication and hard work put in by the students and the organizing committee were evident in the seamless execution of the event.
