Conscientization PROGRAMME FOR 8G OF ST.JOSEPH HSS , PALAYAM : - NATIONAL INTEGRATION

On August 7, 2024, a conscientisation programme was conducted for class 8G, focusing on the crucial topic of National Integration. This program aimed to educate and inspire the students about the importance of unity within the nation. The session covered various aspects, including the definition, history, features, unity in diversity, and threats to national integration. An engaging activity was also conducted, allowing the students to express their feelings towards India. Definition of National Integration National integration refers to the process of creating a sense of togetherness and unity among the citizens of a country. It involves the harmonization of diverse groups within the nation, promoting a sense of belonging and commitment to the country as a whole. National integration is crucial for the stability and progress of any nation, as it fosters social cohesion, economic growth, and political stability. It aims to bridge the gaps between different communities, religions, and cultures, ensuring that everyone works towards the common goal of national development. History of National Integration The concept of national integration has deep roots in India's history. During the struggle for independence, leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel emphasized the importance of unity among Indians. They highlighted India's achievements in space exploration, technology, and sports, emphasizing their pride in being Indian. They mentioned how festivals like Diwali, Eid, Christmas, and Pongal bring people together, creating a sense of unity.
